Supply system outdated, clean water far cry

The Centre’s approval to the Kalammawadi Direct Pipeline Project may not be adequate to ensure clean and regular water supply to the city as around 30% of the existing pipelines are over 35 years old and in an urgent need to be replaced before the project’s scheduled completion in 2017.
