Delay in transferring buffer zone could pose threat to Sahyadri tiger reserve

In the last four years, the Maharashtra forest department has avoided a decision on transferring over 400 sq km of the buffer zone of the Sahyadri Tiger Reserve to the state wildlife division, which governs protected forests in the state.
